Heated Power Yoga
Effort, held steady. Heated Power Yoga in Brighton and Noarlunga, for the days you want to work hard, breathe deeply, and finish in stillness.
What Is Power Yoga?
Power yoga is a vigorous, strength-focused style of flow yoga. It grew out of Ashtanga but follows no fixed sequence, so each class builds heat and strength in its own way.

What Happens in a Power Yoga Class?
A Power Yoga class moves with purpose. Expect a steady warm-up, sun salutations with added strength, then longer holds in postures such as chair, warrior and plank, with core work and balances woven through.
Arm balances such as crow pose often feature in power yoga, and you can always stay with a version that keeps your feet on the floor. The pace eases toward the end, with floor stretches and a final rest, so you leave steady rather than spent.
At VATA Studios, Power Yoga is taught in an infrared-heated room. It is demanding: your heart rate rises, your breath deepens and you will sweat. Rest Whenever You Need To. The effort is yours to set.

Power Yoga FAQs
Power yoga is a stronger, faster class, so it’s easier with a little yoga behind you. Beginners can still join: take the options offered, rest in child’s pose whenever you need, and don’t chase the hardest version of a pose. If you’re new to both yoga and heat, a few Vinyasa or Hatha classes first will make Power Yoga feel more familiar.
Both link breath and movement. Power yoga leans further into strength and stamina, with longer holds, more core work and athletic sequences, while Vinyasa keeps a smoother, more continuous flow. Choose Power Yoga when you want to work hard, and Vinyasa when you want rhythm and ease. Both sit in the Yoga series, and every membership includes both.
Power Yoga runs Hot (40°C) or Warm (32°C), and every class on the timetable shows its heat. Infrared panels warm the room. Strong work in a hot room is demanding, so drink water through the day, bring a large towel, and step out for air whenever you need to.
Many people find it a full-body workout. Power yoga is designed to build strength and stamina: you hold postures for longer, carry your own bodyweight through planks and balances, and keep moving between them. It is still yoga, though, so the breath leads throughout and each class closes with stretching and stillness.
